- Keep a Food Diary – write down any and all foods that you’ve had to eat each day, along with the amounts that you had. In addition to helping you maintain optimal nutrition levels for your baby, the food diary will help you to notice patterns in your baby’s colic. If you notice that colic is measurably worse when you eat certain foods, try eliminating those foods from your diet to see if your baby’s colic improves.
- Minimize "Gassy" Foods – if you don’t have the time to keep a food diary, you may try eliminating certain types of foods from your diet that are known to cause gas such as beans and legumes. This may translate into less gas for your baby, and less colic overall.
